There are plenty of pubs in and around Helmsley.  All pubs serve food although kitchen times do vary from season to season so it is best to phone up in advance to check if not sure.  Here are a few suggestions.

Feathers (Helmsley)

Run by the Coaching Inn Group, this inn offers a good selection of pub favourites and more varied restaurant dishes. There is a separate dining room and a large function room that has a Sunday carvery. Situated on the Market Square. Helmsley Brewing company

Royal Oak (Helmsley)

BlackSmith ARMS (Lastingham)

Situated in the small village of Lastingham, this small pub is situated opposite St Mary's church which is well worth a quick visit.  The pub dates from the 16th century and has a number of small rooms although the main bar is the most atmospheric. 01751 417247. www.blacksmithsarmslastingham.co.uk

 

FEVERSHAM ARMS INN (CHURCH HOUSES, FARNDALE)

F & H (SINNINGTON)

Formerly the Fox & Hounds, now under new ownership. An excellent restaurant for Sunday lunch. Sinnington is about a 15 minute drive from Helmsley heading towards Scarborough. Reservations recommended.  01751 431577.

 

Horseshoe Inn (Levisham)

A pretty village pub which has a very quiet eating area outside as Levisham is not really on a through road.  The pub is not far from Levisham station on the North Yorkshire Moors railway.  Hours of food service vary by season, so best to phone in advance to confirm.  01751 460 240.  www.horseshoelevisham.co.uk.

 

Lion Inn (Blakey Ridge)

Very popular with walkers.  This pub is the 5th highest in England and is one the Coast to Coast walk. Cavernous interior.  If the bar is full, ask for a table in the restaurant.  One of the few pubs that serves food all day.  Reservations generally not needed but at very busy time there may be a slight pause before you are seated. 01751 417320.  www.lionblakey.co.uk.

 

Plough Inn (Wombleton)
